The Story Behind the Stage
You’re probably here because you want to know who I am and why I do this work. Before I share all the titles, executive, consultant, speaker, I want you to know the truth: none of those matter as much as what happened when life knocked me flat.
For years, I led from the C-Suite, driving change across some of the biggest healthcare systems in the country. Then, at 37, I got the phone call that stopped everything - cancer. Overnight, I went from boardroom to hospital bed. From leader to patient. From mom juggling work to mom fighting to live for her kids and husband.
It was brutal. It left scars. But it also gave me something I didn’t have before - clarity. I saw exactly where healthcare shines, where it breaks, and how much the healthcare experience matters in every single interaction.
That’s why I started hxology. Today, I use both sides of my story, the executive and the patient, to help leaders and teams bridge the gap between data and compassion. Because at the end of the day, every patient and every caregiver deserves to feel seen, heard, and cared for.
Here's to changing healthcare together,
Stephanie
